Rusty Chevrolet

C'mon, cmon!
C'mon, you can do it!
(car starts)
All right!
Dashing through the snow
in my Rusty Chevrolet
Down the road I go
Sliding all the way
I need new piston rings
I need some new snow tires
My car is held together
By a piece of chicken wire
CHORUS
Oh, rust and smoke, the heater's broke
The door just blew away
I light a match to see the dash
And then I start to pray
The frame is bent, the muffler went
The radio, it's okay
Oh what fun it is to drive
This Rusty Chevrolet

Bouncing through the snowdrifts
In a big blue cloud of smoke
People laugh as I drive by
And I wonder what's the joke
Got to get to Shop-Ko
To pick up the lay-away
'Cause Santa Claus is coming soon
In his big old rusty sleigh
(chorus)

New Van That God Has Provided!

Christian Fired From Macy's For Standing On The Bible!

I will not be shopping at Macy's anymore-- especially not my wife!

Macy's has fired a Christian woman for refusing to violate her religious beliefs. Her offense? She prevented a man dressed as a woman from entering the women's dressing room.

According to Liberty Counsel, Natalie Johnson says she saw the young man walk out of the women's fitting room and politely told him that he could not go back in because it was for women only. The cross-dressing young man claimed that he is a "female." Johnson said that he was wearing make-up and girl's clothing, but clearly he was a male. The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals.

The group argued with expletives that Macy's is LGBT-friendly, to which Johnson replied that Macy's is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality. The group then demanded to speak with a manager.

Johnson's boss referred her to Macy's LGBT policy which allows "transgender" people to change in any dressing room they want.

The manager demanded that she comply with the LGBT policies or lose her job. Johnson refused to go against her sincerely held religious beliefs and was terminated from her job.

Macy's has essentially opened women's dressing rooms to every man. The LGBT agenda has become the theater of the absurd.

Grandpa's Christmas Present

Grandpa decided that shopping for Christmas presents had become too difficult. All his grandchildren had everything they needed, so he decided to send them each a check.

On each card he wrote:

'Happy Christmas Grandpa'

P.S. 'Buy your own present!'

Now, while Grandpa enjoyed the family festivities, he thought that his grandchildren were just slightly distant. It preyed on his mind into the New Year. Then one day he was sorting out his study and under a pile of magazines, he found a little pile of checks for his grandchildren. He had completely forgotten to put them in with the Christmas cards.

In Desert Places

Just finished reading this book this morning. I was greatly challenged and moved by this book, and appreciate Dr Chappell and his ministry in Lancaster, CA. I would recommend this book to anyone who is currently in full-time ministry, or to those considering the ministry. It will be a blessing to anyone who finds themselves in a desert place.

WHY SHOULD CHRISTMAS MATTER?

Why should Christmas matter?
By His fulfillment of prophecy, we are reminded that Jesus Christ is the center of God’s plan for the world.
His resurrection from the dead is further confirmation that Jesus is God’s Son who will deliver on every promise. Jesus in the stable is not a fable. And because the message of Christmas is true, the implications are enormous for you.
It means that God the Son, in love, came to fulfill the meaning of his name, which is “The Lord Saves!” In other words, as one modern writer name him, he is “God to the Rescue!” By Jesus’s death on the cross he paid for your sins and mine. By his resurrection he has opened the way to heaven to all who receive him by faith.
Jesus said, “He who [that is, “whoever”] has the Son has eternal life” (John 3:36). By receiving Jesus into your life you also are made a child of God (John 1:14), receive the forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:46), and become a new person (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your future becomes a life of discovery of His gracious plan for you (Ephesians 1:18f).
A long time ago he was born in a manger. But he wishes to be born within your heart today (Revelation 3:20). This Christmas season receive the greatest gift that can ever be given. Open your heart and let the One who was born in a stable in humility, died on a cross in love, and rose from the dead in power, enter in!
Have you accepted the most precious gift he has for you? You can right now.

A Heart Like Daniel!

Oh for a Heart like Daniel:
1. A Purposeful Heart: Dan.1v8a
"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the King's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself."(Dan. 1v8 KJV).
2. A Proving Heart: Dan.1v9-16
"Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs." (Dan.1v9 KJV).
3. A Persevering Heart: Dan.10v12
"Then said he unto me, fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words." (God saw Daniel's faithfulness!)

Garden Grass Snakes Can Be Dangerous!

A couple in Sweetwater, Texas had a lot of potted plants. During a recent cold spell, the wife was bringing a lot of them indoors to protect them from a possible freeze. It turned out that a little green garden grass snake was hidden in one of the plants. When it had warmed up, it slithered out and the wife saw it go under the sofa. She let out a very loud scream. The husband (who was taking a shower) ran out into the living room naked to see what the problem was. She told him there was a snake under the sofa.He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it. About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind. He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor. His wife thought he had had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an ambulance. The attendants rushed in, would not listen to his protests, loaded him on the stretcher, and started carrying him out.About that time, the snake came out from under the sofa and the Emergency Medical Technician saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the man broke his leg and why he is still in the hospital. The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbor who volunteered to capture the snake. He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch.. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief. But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted, the snake rushed back under the sofa. The neighbor man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her.The neighbor's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches. The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that the snake had bitten him. She went to the kitchen and got a small bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat.By now, the police had arrived.Breathe here...They saw the unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little garden snake! The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbor and his sobbing wife. Now, the little snake again crawled out from under the sofa and one of the policemen drew his gun and fired at it. He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over, the lamp on it shattered and, as the bulb broke, it started a fire in the drapes. The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car.Meanwhile, neighbors saw the burning drapes and called in the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires, put out the power, and disconnected the telephones in a ten- square city block area (but they did get the house fire out).Time passed! Both men were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car and all was right with their world.A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night. And that's when he shot her.

Dear Praying Friends

This year, one goal at the Fellowship Tract League is to print our 4 billionth tract! Who would have thought that God could have accomplished this in such a short time. Thank you for all of your prayers for our family. It has been an exciting beginning to our year.

On January 20th, we began a Thursday evening Bible study in our home in Jefferson, TX. The Lord had been working on my heart about making a difference in our area. We are also broadcasting our Bible study live online, and you can find the link at my website. We have had as many as thirteen in attendance, and as many as fifty-two computers log in during one message.

Since our last letter, I have been in eleven states, traveled 10,000 miles, and have been in some wonderful meetings, and met some great people. It is an honor to be a Fellowship Tract League Representative, and thank you for your faithful support and prayers. We could not do it without churches that are faithful in their Faith Promise and Missions giving.

On March 2nd, my pastor had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Praise the Lord the surgery was very successful, and Pastor Trull is recovering well. During this time, I am working as interim pastor at Twin Cities Baptist Temple until he can get well enough to return to his work. So far, I have not had to miss but one meeting because of it. We have a great assistant pastor who helps me when I am traveling. This has been quite an exciting time and has been very hard on my cell phone minutes! God is amazing though, because last week I got a text from AT&T that they were giving me 1,000 bonus rollover minutes. The church cannot afford to pay us, so please pray for this added strain on our funds. They are helping some with our gas bill, which is wonderful with where gas prices are!

On April 3-9, we will be operating our “Feeding the Five Thousand” ministry in Texarkana. This ministry is where we help the church get 5,000 door hangers out in one week’s time. If you would like for us to come to your church with this outreach, we would love help or be a part. I know of some pastors that are preparing to use this ministry in their churches this year.

Please pray for our camp meeting coming up May 9-12 in Lebanon, Ohio. This meeting highlights the tract ministry. Last year was amazing, and I am looking forward to an even better meeting this year. Visit breadoflifecampmeeting.org for more information.

God bless you as you serve Him!
